6 Day Safari to Amboseli National Park and the Great Rift Valley Tour.
Day 1: Nairobi-Amboseli National Park
You will be picked up from your hotel by your safari guide and be driven to Amboseli National Park. Drive south across the Athi plains to Amboseli National Park game viewing enroute to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Amboseli Lodge which consists of a number of comfortable cottages dotted around an expansive lawn and garden with sweeping views.
Day 2: Wildlife Viewing in Amboseli National Park
Relish in full day game drives in Amboseli National Park with morning and afternoon. Birdlife in Amboseli is prolific and the scenery a remarkable contrast of arid scrubland and lush grasses by the swamps. Overnight at Amboseli Lodge.
Day 3: Amboseli National Park-Nakuru
Have an early breakfast to leave Amboseli for Nairobi. Straight on to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving for a late lunch. Enroute to the park, unrivalled panorama of scenic views of the Great Rift Valley unfolds giving you an unmatched photographic opportunity. You will go for a game/bird drive around the lake shore. The lake attracts thousands of lesser and greater flamingos among other tens of species of birds. There are a variety of bird species to watch in this lake. Not only does this lake boast of being a bird's paradise, it is also a rhino sanctuary for the highly endangered black and white rhinos. Other animals found here include cheetahs, leopards, lions, waterbucks, zebras, gazelles, Rothschild Giraffe amongst others. Dinner and overnight at Lion Hill Lodge.
Day 4: Nakuru-Masai Mara
After breakfast you will drive across the floor of the great Rift Valley to Narok town where there will be a brief stopover. Enter Masai Mara Reserve arriving in time for lunch. Masai Mara is arguably the world's most famous game reserve with unrivalled natural beauty and wildlife concentration. It forms part of the Great Mara-Serengeti ecosystem. Dinner and overnight at Governors Camp.
Day 5: Game Viewing:
The whole day will be spent game viewing in this wildlife wonderland. Introduce yourself to the large herds of plain game and the numerous predators, which have made the reserve so famous. Masai Mara is also home to the renowned black-maned lion. Meals and overnight at Governors Camp.
Day 6: Masai Mara Park-Nairobi
After breakfast, return back to Nairobi where you connect with your homebound flight. In the event of a late evening departure, an optional day room can be reserved for you to relax and freshen up before you transfer to the airport.
